Which card is good? 7850 or R7 260X. My friend has a new build, from what I understand he has a 450 GTS. Which one would be better. He said that 280x and 290x is out of his budget.

The 7850 is comparable to an R7 265, which is between a 270 and 260x. 

 

 

What about the 280 non x or the 270x?
Also the 7970 is a rebranded 280x and is normally significantly cheaper

A 270x isn't worth the extra money over a 270 (non-x) as it's just an overclocked 270.

The 7850 is a bit more powerful.

Isn't 7850 similar to the 270/x? I'll tell him about the 7970.
