Using the iPad often for skype, I've recently had the iPad plugged in and the call actually drained the battery to 0%. The battery was charging but the percentage was decreasing. I did plug it in to the original iPad charger for power. Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem, did the ipad show that it was charging? Sometimes they seem to forget that they are charging.

As said you want to make sure it's charging but also the cable your using can affect the charging especially if it's an after market one or extra long length one.

The iPad was charging, in addition to this, if it wasn't it would've died a LOT quicker.

The cable used was the one that came with the iPad.

Just backup everything, take it to the Apple store and let them run a battery test on it. More likely if it fails, they'll just replace the thing. I have yet to hear of Apple actually "fixing" battery issues on the iPads, it seems more efficient to just send the broken one back to become a refurb and give the customer a brand spanking new one. Just in my experience however.
