so the shit storm continues, after re installing drivers it worked on furmark with no gpu usage drops, so i started playing some bf4, the fu#### lag started again,

this time even worse gpu usage drifting all-around in afterburner, and fps dipping to 2 every few seconds

WTF is the problem!?!?!?!?!?!

as you may see this is VERY frustrating................

Wait, I just noticed it's an alienware... it's probably the PSU. 330 watts is really stretching it for that system, and alienware PSUs notoriously are garbage. Get a corsair CX430 and see how that goes. Even if it doesn't solve the problem it's still safer for your machine...

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

not possible, (alienware psu are good quality imho even small oc is doable in gpu) it's been working for over a year almost 1 and half years without problems, so yeah

The fact that it worked before doesn't mean it isn't having problems now... and being able to do a little OC doesn't mean the psu is of good quality. Stressing a cheap PSU to its maximum for prolonged periods of time is the perfect way to break it or cause it to malfunction. Trust me, it's very much possible. And it's worth a try since a CX430 is like 25 bucks and it doesn't seem to be a software problem. I know the PSU is external (which by the way only indicates me that it's likely to be the problem), but the components inside all have standard connections afaik, so you can open it and use a desktop PSU with it (I have seen videos with people doing that).

That's my 2 cents anyway, if you don't want to try it there's not much more I can do for you. Unless it's overheating, but you said it isn't (between 60 and 70 is perfectly fine for an i7).
