My First Personal Rig :D

Kiryui

Hey guys I'm relatively new around the forum and have been avidly trying to process ( :D) all that i can and learning all that's relative to pc's in general. So i have this build I've come up with and hope to finish in the coming weeks. Hope you guys can give me some constructive criticism about this project. Would mean a lot to me if you did :D.

1.Budget and Location
Since I'm from Australia the prices of some of these components may differ greatly, from a 10% to 20% increase compared to US parts.
My budget is a minimum of $2300 AUD to a maximum of $2600

2.Aim
This rig will be mainly be used for personal use, rather than a multi-user pc.
This may include media consumption eg. Youtube, movies, music.
Gaming with current AAA titles at reasonably high settings, or running multiple gaming clients eg. MMORPG's
High usage of browsing the internet eg. 40+tabs in Chrome :D.

3.Monitors
I plan on running either a dual monitor set up or a triple monitor set up with all of them at 1080p for multi tasking and gaming.
Don't really know if a 7950 would be enough to power high settings in Eyefinity smoothly. IPS is a must.

4.Reason for Upgrading
Been sharing a pc with the family for the longest time and thought that a personal rig was in order. ^-^

Notes
The case has to be white :D
The rig will be placed in a bedroom upstairs so silence is a big deal.
WIll overclock the cpu and gpu.
Pc that i was using i5 650, 4gb ram, gt 210, windows 7.

Parts/Components picked so far or can't decide upon:

go down to 1600mhz it might save you some money and it's really not much of a difference unless your running a apu

Maybe OP intend to use RAMDisk

If you're concerned about silence buy a Fractal Define R4 Windowed as your case.

That way you have a window without the concern about high noise from the computer.

Get a cheaper PSU, 750w are overkill, though if you are thinking about running Crossfire later, then keep the psu.

Yeah, i really considered getting a lower wattage psu for cheaper too. Seemed to me that i would seek Crossfire as an alternative upgrade in the future, so a psu that could handle that upgrade would still be nice. Thanks for reminding me. :)
