Hi,

Here's what's happening. I have 8gb of RAM installed. My Task manager displays it correctly but when I start google chrome+any other game my RAM jumps to around 3.47gb used it's aruong 40% according to Task Manager, However I suddenly get this message that my computer is running out of memory and my game automatically closes and google chrome crashes. I usually encounter this issue when I was using my old PC which has only 4gb of RAM however this PC that I'm using has 8GB. Is there some kind of memory leak? Help me guys.

Does it happen consistently? And does Windows recognize the extra RAM?

Try reinstalling Windows. Does your BIOS recognize the RAM?

There may be some other option. Maybe doing some kind of live boot off of a flash drive with Ubuntu or something.

  • 3 weeks later...

a 4gb and an 8gb

You could turn your flash drive into a bootable medium using some kind of Linux distro.
