hey, so i have a EVGA GTX 660 SC edition (2gb) in my rig and i was wondering if i should upgrade it soon? i have a 1080p screen and am playing BF4 and arma 2. right now it is still okay but am i going to need an upgrade soon and what should it be?

A 660 is just a tad worse than a r9 270. If you really want to switch, it mostly depends on your psu.

So, a 960 or 280x would be fine for 1080p. If you have a under 600 psu, the 960 would be better.

Quote my post if you need me to respond.

The 660 isn't necessarily a weak card.

But if you really feel the need to upgrade, a 970 would be fine.

If i were you id get another GTX 660 if your motherboard supports SLI, About twice the GPU performance in games that support SLI,
The gpu performance almost match the GTX 970 that way(At 1080p).

EDIT: The B85 pro gamer doesnt support SLI(But it does support Crossfire), A GTX 970 or R9 290 would be the best choices for you.
As long as the gtx 660 can handle the games you play/want to play it is enough for you.

I'd upgrade.  If you're only gaming at 1080p go for a GTX 970, it's still the best bang for your buck at 1080p.

I had the same problem so I managed to find a very cheap second 660 and simply did SLI. Now I have two cards that will absolutely tear through 1080p gaming on most games, only the really VRAM intensive ones give me issues but I'm pretty happy with dropping texture quality on games to keep these cards going.

I realistically won't need to upgrade till Pascal shows up.

I'd hold out for the R9 300 series, since the GTX 660 is still a decent card. Even if you don't want to go AMD, it might force some price drops on the GTX 960 and GTX 980 (I doubt the GTX 970 will go down) as well as the introduction of the GTX 960 Ti.

I'd say Gtx 970 to 960. I went r9 290x from 660 and I am happy. But not sure what your budget is.

The 960 wouldnt be a good upgrade, Games Will turn towards higher Vram usage, And 2gb is really on the edge right now, I would not recommend anything lower than 3gb.
