Kinds of Windows affect Performance?

Does variations of windows 8/win 7 affect performance?
Im not talking about win 7 vs win 8 but their variants.

For example a Win 7 ultimate has a better performance than win 7 pro?
Why did I ask this?, I am thinking of buying the cheapest win 7/8 available then upgrade to win 10 via free update( if win 10 costs more than 7/8)

And you need a 64-bit OS if you want to use more than 4GB RAM.

I believe you get an FPS increase in BF4 if you're on Windows 8, but otherwise, no.

32 bit has a 3GB barrier.

my server has 32 bit windows and 4gb of ram installed. 3gb shows up. all ram shows up in other systems.

my dad's previous desktop did the same thing.

My x86 laptop shows 4GB in system properties....

Only 3GB usable. 32bit is limited to 3.

32/64bit yes. Home/Pro etc. No. I guess the Pro version has more stuff on it so if you're being very picky then yes, but for the most part, no.
