RAM leak - Excessive ram usage.

Go to solution Solved by DaftHacker,

Restored PC.

So I've been having this problem lately where my ram usage will jump up to 95+ usage while playing games and that's definitely not good at all. I have 8GB or ram and my memory usually stays at almost full usage. Also chrome is using more than a ****ing GB with only 4 webpages open. I think this is the issue that is causing a serious bottleneck in my system.

Not sure why it says 7.7/10GB committed when i only have 8gigs but im not sure what the other values mean.

Chrome using over 1gb of ram and i only have like 4-5 pages open, i usually just have: Email, Se7ensins, Youtube, Reddit, and Imgur.

Resource monitor showing i have o-20 MB free ??? and i have 7088MB in use with only skype, chrome, and steam usually open.

Does anyone know exactly what could be causing this ? I know i haven't restored my PC in a while but im very low on disk space and i dread restoring my PC, so i would rather not do that.

Try updating your network driver, some realtek drivers can cause memory leaks.

Otherwise, you're going to have to tag the pools and look which one is leaking. RAMMAP and Poolmon are used, have to look at the details though.

Had the same problem... If you disable Paging in the control panel, accept it, then go back in and re-enable it, it fixes the problem.  It seems to be a windows 8.1 thing.

EDIT: Memory Paging

Maybe some hidden virus/malware?

Try scanning computer for viruses and scanning for malware with "Malware Bytes"
