Kraken G10 temp issue

Go to solution Solved by CameronDSetty,

The stock paste should be good enough, right?

Stock paste on aio's can be tricky, when i put my own paste on my h100i for my cpu temps dropped like 20 degrees. Id try it with your own paste, it could just be bad coverage.

Is your pump connected? Thermal paste appied properly? Mounted properly?

Your problem is the H50, in all likelihood.

It's probably not powerful enough.

I highly doubt that, if a 120mm thin rad can cool two R9 290X chips at a reasonable temp of 67C I believe (R9 295X2), then I'm sure a 120mm rad can cool one just fine. @LastKnown Unless your unit is defective.

Yes; Used the stock paste; yes

My guess is that your pump is running on a speed controlled header. Make sure its at 12V all the time.

Forgive me for I'm still kinda green. How can I make sure it's running 12v?

You can use a molex to 4pin / 3pin adapter. Or make sure that whatever fan header its connected to is supplying 12V in the bios or the fan utility your mobo comes with.

So I disassembled and put some cooler master paste on it and just like you, dropped it 20 degrees. Now after Heaven it peaks @ 75.
