Difference between resolutions

If i am playing a game at 1366 by 768 maxed out vs on 1920 by 1080 on medium settings?What's the difference?which will look more cool?

Resolution trumps graphical settings, IMO.

Depends on size of monitor and pixel density too. but generally a larger resolution is better quality to a point.

 

A larger resolution will also increase the view area or work space.

It will look way, way better than that 1366x768 resolution. A lot better.

1366x768 is an abomination of a resolution if you ask me.

I have heard that it is a pain in the butt to develop for because it is a few pixels off of being 16:9.

Before I bought a 1080p monitor, I had a small TV with that resolution. I noticed a big difference in image quality.

That should be just the TV being a cheap one, but I like the extra resolution of 1080.

1080p is a lot better you always want resolution over settings

I would go 1920x1080 over 1366x768 any day since higher resolution is much better than higher graphical settings on a smaller res. Also 1366x768 I find is a really terrible resolution and playing at a higher resolution can potentially increase performance (to an extent) since less extreme levels of AA is needed.
