Hello gents.

After I've had my H105 for a month or two, I've began to notice my pump is fairly loud. I got all my fans in my case down to 800 RPM so they're more or less silent, but the pump stands out.

I have my pump in my motherboard (Asus Z97) in a chassis Fan 2A and it runs on 1860 RPM.

I've seen in OC3D's video that he has his H105 completely silent here

http://youtu.be/k6W5WU-O1Is?t=10m38s

And I want to hear you guys if you knew what was going on, because I cannot see how I can get it to run that silent.

I hope you can help me with my issue

Thank you and have a good day.

YOu might be able to get the pump speed down I know when I used a H110 for a month I ran the pump at 800RPM instead of max.

Will it be trouble with the volts? I've heard it had to be on 12 volts no matter what. And how will I be able to do that? I've tried in AI suite, but doesn't let me.

I have the H105, and I have my pump connected to the power supply (12v full speed), and I can confirm that it's pretty loud. Although it does not bother me.

Not to sure I had the pump on a case fan header vs a CPU fan header.

You have it by a molex connecter?

Yes. I have a 3-Pin Fan to Molex adapter I bought off Amazon and run my pump off of that.

I'll try to purchace one of those to see if that will work. Kinda hope it does, as I'm a fan of silence, and also built my computer in regard of getting it silent

The pump on the H105 is intended to run at a static 100%, otherwise you risk damaging it.

Wait, no, having it connected to the power supply will have it run at full speed. Which will be sort of loud. Unless you want that. It does not bother me so that's why I have it running at full speed. Although you could purchase that adapter along with a resistor to reduce the voltage or something. Something like this and this working in tandom would be a nice thing.
