Get yourself an ssd with all that moeny son! :P

And i believe that an i7 would net you some better performance for your money, (not sure for gaming, since you need faster threads, I don't know the 9590 that well).

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

Why not i7 4970K and MSI Gaming 7, EVGA PSU and 16GB of RAM, there is Overkill and then there is spending money for the sake of it plus grab a Crucial BX100 SSD, unless you are using multiple 1440p monitors three cards is unnecessary

Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.2Ghz | Evga GTX 780 Ti SC ACX with backplate | MSI Gaming 9 AC | 8GB (2x4) Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 2400 MHz | Corsair H105 128GB Crucial MX100 | Toshiba 2TB | Evga 750G2 | Corsair Obsidian 750d | Be Quiet Silent Wings 2 PWM (3x140mm & 3x120mm)

Hey guys! I'm looking into building a sweet gaming rig and was hoping if any of you could give me any tips based on what I've thought of so far :)

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/6sNbxr

Get an i5 4690k and a z97 board instead of a 9590. If you plan on heavy editing get an i7. Fx just aren't good in most operations compared to Intel.

Since you have three 290x, I suppose you plan on playing at 4k. Instead wait for the 3xx series from AMD. And pick up some 380x's.

Purchase a boot drive for your system, (SSD.) will make general usage better.

Get the EVGA G2, for your psu. Best psu hands down.

Get 16 gigs of ram.

Enjoy your build! :D

Quote my post if you need me to respond.

Or 3 1080p monitors.

9590 = binned 8350

i7-4790k would smash its shit in.

PEWDIEPIE DONT CROSS THAT BRIDGE

What resolution Monitor/s are you using ?

As mentioned by most people above, Intel is the way to go for the cpu.

Get a freaking SSD

Wait for skylake i5 or broadwell i7 (that thing would be overkill)

Defineatly wait for AMD's new 3** series, they'll be ballin.

HAF stacker imo is bad looking - NZXT H440, Corsair 760T/780T, Phanteks Enthoo Evolv, Luxe are waay better

You don't need a sound card, just no

Don't get NAS/Server hdd's, not worth the price - 3tb of Seagate Barracudas will have you rolling too

Get W8.1

NZXT Kraken X61 or Enermax Liqtech 240 are better aio's

With the new cpu's and gpu's coming, I think you won't need a 1500w psu

This won't be purely gaming, but the clock speed just seems more in my favour imo, just because I'd be doing a lot of video rendering and game design/recording. I can't say I'm too familiar with intel myself though... xD

You say that, but as far as the money is concerned, I want to go with the brand I know well and trust, I'm appy to spend the extra money :) Also, I'll be using 3 monitors in 4K, not during any hardcore gaming obviously, but as I said in the comment above, I'll be using this computer for rendering and game design/recording as well.

Go with a 4690k and a z97 mobo also if you go with more than 2 gpu configurations there is minimal performance gain and the middle gpu(s) conduct a lot more heat.

That's the reason I didn't go 4-way xD but I've looked into the benchmarks, and it seems it's after the 3rd card that isn't really justified. I guess the heat may be an issue though, but I'd probably buy 3 anyway and monitor the temperature, if it does go a little too high, then I can always keep one as spare :)

Despite the terrific clock speed, with a nice i7 4960k with decent OC (which you should get no problem) will do much much better  :P Ask Gofspar, he just told me!

As much as i like AMD, it's not where the value is atm.

Here is i7 5960X, Im no expert, but just check it out.

Next to buy would be memory or additional space. Go for Intel SSD drive imo.

Also important notice: at this price range, you can't just say well I want to work on this computer and also enjoy playing games at crazy quality, then expect accurate answer to your question :). Either this, or that. There are stuff that are designed specyficly for gaming or working for graphic design and rendering.

The 3000 is a lot of money to spend, and even if you decide to buy absolutely gaming dedicated computer it's going to work very well with design.

second edit:

No matter what would anyone suggested me personaly, for this money I would go for best processor available. In that case haswell-e.

Not too bad, but I made a few tweaks to suit my needs xD

I'm fixed on getting Sapphire's 8GB card rather than the 4gb

The 8GB cards don't seem to make much impact even on a 4K monitor.
