Black, gold and white | Haswell build log

Nade

Hi guys! I just bought new case, mobo and CPU and I wanted to make build log of it.

Specs:

Intel i5-4670K @3,4GHz

Asus Z87-A

Gigabyte HD7870 OC

Kingston 2x4GB @1333MHz

XFX 550W Core Edition

2x WD Caviar Blue 1TB

Thermalright True Spirit 90M

Corsair 300R

Some pics:

I'll add later more pics.

This isn't ready yet and I have so many great ideas and not a lot of money but here is something that I'm going to do:

Buy few case fans

Buy new cooler for CPU

Buy new RAM

Modular power supply

Maybe custom water cooling

Also I'm going to paint my new fans, expansion slot things and hard drive cage.

Sorry if you don't understand something because my english is not good as it could be. Also I don't have good camera so I'll have to take all pics with my phone :)

So what do you think about my build?

Can't stand the window with those fan mounts. You should mod it with one clear piece of acrylic. Other than that, it looks nice :)

Feel free to message me if you want to chat!

I think cable management and colour scheme could be done a bit better but it looks very nice over all :).

Don't paint the fans. Dye them.

Pretty decent. The window on the sidepanel is terrible though.

| GPU: GT 650M | CPU: i5-3210M | Excuse my language, sometimes I can be pretty vulgar.

Yeah that sidepanel pretty terrible. Maybe I will replace it later. But thanks  :)

I'm going to paint stuff and it will look better. Also I'm going to buy modular power supply so cable management is going to be better. And thanks  :)

So I painted those expansion slot covers (or something like that  :D ) and here is the result.

I personally like that and I will paint hard drive cages later :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I would recommend getting some grommets. They aren't essential but would make your build look a bit cleaner. Bought some for my 300R and I'm glad I did.

For the 800D but fit perfectly and then you can sell off the extra.
