Gigabit switch not working

I'm having a problem with my gigabit network switch in which both devices (PC and Xbox 360) say that there is no ethernet cable plugged into them.

 

Here's a quick rundown of my network setup:

Modem -> Router -> Powerline Adapter -> Gigabit Switch -> PC and Xbox 360

 

I have also tried using an old router in replacement to the switch, still no luck.

 

I have no idea what's wrong, any ideas?

Then the powerline is the problem, try to test it without the powerline.

Make sure to install it correctly.

The powerline adapter works fine when plugged straight into the PC.

Most powerlines can't split singnals into switches.

You might need a crossover cable from the adapter to the switch.
