FIRST, please do not just post on how APUs are crap or any negative comment. Just looking for a solution after countless hours of scouring the net.

UPDATE: ok so i determined whats causing windows to disable aero. its AMD Catalyst Control Center. Booted my Computer without it on start up and aero was working. and when I open aero it puts windows back in Visual basic mode. Does anyone know a fix for this. ??

Windows is not displaying aero effect. like all the cool effects and transparency and color.

its stuck in windows visual basic.

I have done alot of research on it. Ran WEI, troubleshooting and anything I could find on the web, at a dead end

my WEI rating for aero is 5.9

I do believe its some kind of driver or software.

Go to the start menu and search for "Aero". Click on the option that says "Fix Transpareancy blah blah blah"

are you using the HD5850?

what happens if you use the A10 onboard GPU?

make sure the driver is the latest version

or possible remove the driver using Display Driver Uninstall and reinstall the AMD Omega Driver

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

try removing the catalyst using Display driver uninstall and only install the Omega driver alone without the Control Center

you need to use Custom Install
