Quick Question about 3770K

Go to solution Solved by Najuno,

I was using Prime95. Here are my results with Aida64 for about half an hour. Yes I know that I'm Supposed to run it for longer but that's the temperature that it settled at after 5 minutes. Also forgot that I overclocked to 4.6GHz.

Now that´s more like it. With this high OC your temps are fine. Aida64 Extreme is IMHO the best test, stress test and benchmark software. I have it in full version because I do so much OCing.

Looks all good to me.

EDIT: You could reapply a better thermal compound or use a better cooler to drop your temps a bit more if you want to keep this OC. But even with these temps it´s not concerning because hardly any application does stress the CPU 100% all the time other than a CPU stress test or rendering.

I'm running an Intel i7 3770k 3.5GHz cooled by a Corsair H100i configured in push with Noctua NF-F12 fans. At 30%-40% load my temps range from 48C-58C. I've read that Ivy Bridge runs a little hot but Is these temps high? Thanks.

Edit: I'm using Task Manager to view load and Speccy to see my temps.

If at 30% you're getting 85c then yes, that is high.

If at 30% you're getting 45c, that's fine.

Can you post any more specific details perhaps?  Also ambient room temp etc etc

Full load is usually floating between 89-93C

That´s too much. What software do you use for testing? I´d recommend Aida64 Extreme. Don´t use Prime95.
