Windows 8.1 not booting...

Go to solution Solved by WolfDeville,

Update: After successfully booting into it from my secondary rig, I put it back in my main rig and now it's working fine.

Mods, please close the thread.

Hey all. So, tonight I decided to OC my 980's to 1600mhz just for shits and giggles and I ran Valley benchmark and not even 2 seconds in, it crashed, so I did a hard reset and since then the computer won't boot into, it just stays in a loop with the icon spinning.

Something worth mentioning: It was doing a Windows Defender definition update during the crash.

I restarted it and it said it was doing an Automatic repair and then the screen just went blank so I left it for half an hour and it remained the same.

I've tried putting in my W8.1 USB and clicked "Repair your computer" and the whole thing just locks up, I left it for 10 minutes and it was still frozen. I tried clearing the CMOS and to no surprise it didn't solve the problem.

I have the SSD plugged into my secondary comp atm and I can see the files and all and I was hoping if there was some sort of repair thing I can do from here to replace corrupt files or whatever. I would really like to avoid formatting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
