I just wanted to ask a question about posting new build logs. Do people really enjoy reading/following these or is everyone burned out from the same $3,000 build? I don't mean for that to dismiss any build of any financial range - it was just an average build amount that I have seen here. I have been debating on whether I should start the process of sharing all of my research and eventually posting the progress of my build or has everyone been "build logged" to death? I certainly don't want to create something that no one cares about. I'm only asking because my build has passed the $10k mark, and I thought with that kind of build there may be a different range of interest. I have also been thinking about building my own desk (or some other "housing") to place my components - is this one of those fads - are people still building such things? I'm certainly not new to computers, but I am new to computer-tech-type forums, so that's why I am asking such an odd question.

Build logs are cool if the case is being modified or if it's out of the ordinary. Like the X Desk one that's currently been favoured by people. That's interesting. I mean a normal build isn't that boring as long as some of the parts are brand new or rare parts to find but realistically that's rarely ever going to be the case.

I like seeing people be creative with their tech. Heck yeah I want to see new logs.

I guess that would lead me to ask "what is creative" these days? At one time, I thought about tearing apart an old CRT TV, heat-form a new acrylic "window" to replace the tube, and then build inside. I have a 44+ gallon fish tank where I could encase my build inside a glass/acrylic unit and then place that inside the tank with real fish. I even thought about contacting the guys at "Tanked" to build me an acrylic computer desk/fish tank with live fish, but I have future plans to move, so I would have to wait until after the move to do something like that. I have several wacky ideas, but I can't do any of them until I move. This is why I thought I might go ahead and build it now using a large case, and then later on trying out a different idea. I think too much.

Anything that less than %5 of people in the world have done (don't ask me to figure out how many have done it before)

I'd consider creative to be anything that doesn't just involve slapping a few components into a case and calling it a build. If you're going to put effort into the things that you love, fantastic. Share it with the rest of us.
