Afternoon folks, this didn't really fit in to any of the computer hardware sections so I'll ask it here instead. My next build involves 3 27" monitors in eyefinity, and as you can imagine I'm having a bit of trouble finding a desk that can handle that. Anyone around here have any recommendations? I'd like to also have my tower on it but if it won't fit it won't fit. Desk has to be about 75 inches wide,

That would be a ugly desk to game on.

True but it is very practical. It is what I have. I have multi monitors and still enough room to work on pcs and stuff.

Thanks for the input but I think I'll pass on that. It would work, but I'm looking for something that looks good as well. Again, thanks for the input though.

Ikea has this, all you need to do is pick out the legs you like for it

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S69885229/

I have 3 monitors on my desk right now with plenty of extra room.

Hmm what size are those monitors? The table is only 63" long, each monitor is 25.2 inches. They might fit since the bases are shorter and the monitor will be angled to face me but I want to be sure. I like the finish on that though, if the monitors will fit that would be great.

I'm using an IKEA table as well. You can get a large range of table top sizes. I'm not familiar with imperial measurements, but my table is 2m x 1m

Main rig: i7 3770K @ 4.54, Sapphire R9 290, Sabertooth Z77, 16 GB Mushkin Redline 2133, Lian Li PC-P50R, Seasonic 860xp Platinum, Kingston Hyper X 3K 240GB

freeNAS server: AMD Athlon II 170u 20W, 5 x 3TB WD Red in raid-z1 (12 TB)

media centre: AMD A10-5700, crucial M4 (boot), running XBMC,4 x 3TB WD Red, 3 x 3TB WD green + 2TB green in FlexRAID (17 TB)

1 meter is 39.4 inches so 2 meters would be nearly 80 inches. that would be perfect haha

I bought a conference table from Ikea for about 200$, hight adjustable 195x105cm, fits about everything ^^

Was actually just looking at that, it was in the suggested products on the page linked too earlier. It looks nice, can you remove the drawer on bottom though?

Mine doesn't have a drawer, don't remember the model tho ^^ 2 years old by now, perhaps the drawer is a new addition, mide just has this cable management thingy at the right 3rd of the table ^^

It's the metal legs, that you can adjust and a big white table top [avaiable in black aswell if I am not mistaken] just drive to an Ikea and have a look at what seems to fit your needs ^^

This one right? It might not be a drawer, it just looks like a draw in the picture

Pretty much yes. This might be just a new addition to the cable management thingy, perhaps it's optional aswell. But as long as it's not carrying anything, I doubt there's a problem removing it, and from the looks of it, you just dont screw that thing on if you don't like it ^^

You can always build your own desk for much cheaper. I'm planning on doing this in the future:

Donno about the US but where I live a wooden plate of 195x95cm would cost more than 200$ already so ^^

I just picked up on of these for $30:  General Fireproofing desk with pull-out cabinet on the left for a printer (or epic PC), either way I'll fix her up nice: http://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/storage-case-pieces/desks/general-fireproofing-executive-desk/id-f_680418/.

They're built to last and can be modified (can also be disassembled with a screwdriver and some hard work to move around).  Top is 60" x 34"  (the depth is key, many desks are too narrow).  I could fit 3 x 27" monitors on it, though the screens would extend beyond the edges.

Im lucky with my industrial desk which rips apart a table in terms of looks and ability to hold stuff, thing could carry two CRT screens and not even a bit of bending, theres a ton of leg room as well

Edit: Just to mention this isnt available anymore but its cost around £3000, was for work before but the company shut down and my dad took it has he liked it and back then he earned about a quarter of what he earns now.

Remember if you find something that you really like but its not quite big enough, it only NEEDS to be big enough for the stands. the edges of the monitors dont have to be over the table... :)

Alternatively you could find a 1x3 monitor arm for your screens though generally speaking that are too expensive... :(

yeah the only one I've found so far big enough for 3 27 inch monitors is $200 haha, I know that it can hang over a little but if I can avoid if for a similar price I'd like to avoid that just aesthetically.
