I already have a laptop with Ubuntu 14.04 installed and I am pretty interested in all the Linux OS's out there. I love the security and the openness. I have Dual booted On the laptop with OS's like Fedora but i'm becoming more and more interested with what's going on behind the scenes.

Arch and Gentoo both look especially interesting.

Anyone got a good selection of Linux OS's for me to try out to get more into linux?

If you want to get your feet wet with Arch, but don't feel comfortable with compiling it yourself, then you should take a look at Antergos.  It is a precompiled and preconfigured Arch-based distro that comes with some extras.  I really like it.  You can choose between GNOME, XFCE, LXDE, KDE, and so on.  I personally prefer GNOME, but that's just me.

If you are looking into arch, I would suggest checkking out http://www.evolutionlinux.com/

It basically still gives you the option to the OS from scratch but without all of the commands. It has a graphical terminal installer and takes you through the steps one by one. I have used it many times, and it works well every time.

Here is a guide of the install process if you are curious to how it looks and works http://www.evolutionlinux.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=249
