I'm moving house in the coming weeks and was wondering if it would be ok to just wrap my PC in a few blankets/sleeping bags and keep it snugly on the front passenger seat with the seat-belt holding it in place?

Its a 250D case with a Asus GTX 780, i have seen people sometimes suggesting the removal of the GPU, wondering if this is a must do thing or will i be ok if i make sure there is a bunch of padding around the case to keep it from vibrating. (1700 KM drive)

Thank you in advance :)

Hell you don't even need to wrap it in a blanket if you'll let is sit on shotgun. Just remove the GPU and if you have a really big heatsink like a Dark Rock 3, maybe remove that too. :)

My Current PC Codename: Scrapper

I transport my dual GPU and Dark Rock Pro 3 system on a weekly basis. Just put the seat belt around it. No need to take out any hardware

I wouldn't bet on that if you're the one driving here in my country's roadways. Too many potholes. xD

You can keep the graphics card in as long as it's secured as it should be anyway and you lie the computer down on it's site not standing up like usual.

lol now I feel bad for just putting my system in the trunk when i moved..

If your pic is your system, I wouldn't feel bad for that alone D:

Those loose cables would have been the reinforcement needed for the graphics card haha.

Just put it in your lap when you drive. Definitely the safest way to transport your PC.* Doesn't matter if its a Gigabyte Brix or a Corsair 900D, you gotta protect your baby.

*Disclaimer: Do not do this. Or do, I don't care, it'd be pretty funny. Take a picture and post it on Reddit, make sure to message me when you do. I'm so bored.
