Windows 8.1 Bandwidth Problem

Hey guys,

 

Whenever I'm downloading something, it seems like my computer refuses to download anything else and allocates all of the bandwidth to just that one download. When this is happening, I can't download anything else or access websites, even ones like Google or Reddit. Any ideas?

 

I'm new to 8.1 so I have no idea what to do. I'm running a A8 7650k on an MSI A78M-E35 if that helps. I didn't have this problem on my previous computer (XP), only when I switched over to 8.1.

Stupid question, but have you installed LAN drivers? I really have no other idea.

 

Yeah I have

 

Turn off remote differential compression. Disable IPv6. Set dns to default.

 

I'll give this a go later on, thanks
