Hi. 

 

I am thinking of building my first X99 Chipset system for gaming and college work which contains Virtualisation and Programming etc.. I am wanting to keep the budget under £1200.

 

Requirements

I want the GPU to be the GTX 970.

RAM to be 16gb.

 

Non-Requirements 

I don't need the O/S.

Keyboard 

Mouse 

Monitor 

 

I look forward to the builds I receive.

What resolution is your monitor ?

 

Do you plan on SLI in the future ?

You can squeeze a 980 in if you go with Z97 although it is a touch overkill if you are using a 60Hz Monitor. If you move to a higher resolution in the future such as 4K then you can add a 2nd card.
