The Witcher 1 and 2 were really great games. The Witcher 2 needed a pretty powerful PC to be able to run it on ultra 1080p.

The Witcher 3 isn't out yet so theres no way of knowing if your current PC will be able to run it on ultra. The graphics have been increased by alot and the game looks even better than the previous one though.

I would recommend playing the 2nd one to see if you will like it.

I'm actually finishing up witcher 2 again in preparation for 3. It's so good xD and Witcher 3 and 2 are somewhat different games. Think of The witcher like skyrim, but harder (much harder), little bit more in depth crafting/potions in some parts, and super story oriented. 3 will be a very large (split into 3 or 4 continents I think) open world, where 2 was like 3 or 4 mini open worlds, more of a linear type game. Still, you should play a bit of witcher 2, because 3 will retain its difficulty and complexity, something that turns a lot of people who are interested away. And yea, you should be fine with a 780 to get 60 frames (probably on high-veryhigh settings) at 1080p.

I've never played witcher before, but after seeing so many preview on youtube, i think i'll play this one.

Is it a good game?

And my main question is, will i get an average FPS around 50-60 on 1920x1200 with my PC?

Try this http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/12446/?p=rit will scan your system and let you know if you can play the game with the min and max requirement's, seems you need a bit of a beast of a system to play it at max setting like a lot of games these days.

You should at least be able to run witcher 3 with high to very high settings 60fps const at 1080p. Also you need to play Witcher1 if you want to understand what cd projekt initially wanted to create with this game. The second witcher game is not so good, although the 3rd and final witcher game seems to kick ass.

edit: I will buy a 380x for that game, probably maxing it out at 1080p 60fps const

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.

Please never use that site. I have never seen someone get an accurate result from it.

Eh.. I've never heard a $250 xeon before.

How many core it has?

It's a quadcore with hyperthreading

I have no idea but I have a GTX 770 and am surprised it handles the games it does, it will come down to how well optimized the game will be on Lunch, just like any triple A title these day's as you my know the kicking Ubisoft got over the launch of Assassins Creed Unity.  It might be best to wait till the games released and see it it play's well.

The problem might be the 8 gig's RAM min requirements but we will see.

WHAAAAATTTTTTT.....????!!!!SERIOUSLYY...??!

The recommended specs will run the game at medium/high settings at 60FPS in 1920x1080.

A friend of mine works for a gaming magazine/website and he played the game for 3-4 hours. He was playing the game on high at around 70-80 FPS in 1080p with one 980.

They didn't let him change the settings but they told him that if he wants to play this game on Ultra, he'll have to get a second 980 in order to get 60FPS. With hairworks and other cool things one 980 will get around 30 FPS on Ultra. Without Ubersampleing obviously.

Oh, all the gameplay shown in the last few months was played on high.

But yeah, this game will require a beast PC to max out.

What kind of game that still can't properly play ultra setting on 1080p with a $500 GPU??!!

Is it because unoptimized (again) or the graph is soooo..

beautiful and cost u a lot of horsepower

They are still working on the optimization so nothing is set in stone but I wouldn't expect huge improvements.

The graphics are great.

Lets pray together

For a better game engine.

Im really hoping that my single 780 can play ultra setting on 1920x1200 around 45-50 FPS
