Final adjustments before purchasing $1000 Gaming PC

Kvyg

Hi guys, so after a few tweaks, this is what I have for my pc (Canada)

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Kvyg/saved/d44wrH

The RAM and storage I will probably get whatever's cheapest at the time of purchase. I'll be choosing any 8gb CL9 kit from a reputable brand for the RAM, and for storage I'm planning on getting an MX100 or 850 EVO and pair it with some 1TB HDD.

A concern I have is the PSU. I've heard that the CX600M isn't a really good quality PSU and that I could do better. I got the PSU for $72-20MIR and currently I have someone who is willing to buy it off me for 70$, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle to sell and then buy another PSU. I am not OCing but it's likely I would in the future.

Some PSUs I'm considering are the EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2 80+ Gold for $113 after MIR, or the Seasonic 620W 80+ Bronze for $90.

Also, since I'm not planning to OC in the near future, what do you guys think of getting an Xeon E3 1231 instead?

EDIT: I'm looking at the guide here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

Any other suggestions are appreciated :). i'm planning to buy everything in the next ~2 weeks.

No No No...

Thanks for the help.

You have the PSU and it'll be just fine. I don't see why there is a problem to use it. Otherwise you got a thumbs up from me for the rest of the build!

Looks good :)

Looks perfect.

Thanks. So going forward with everything in that parts list is okay? Even the PSU?

How much room would I have if I were to OC?

yeah, that PSU will work fine. Like you yourself said though, may want to swap it out after awhile with a Gold rated unit.

Oh you think that psu is pretty good? (EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2 80+ Gold)

It has bulky capacitors at the ends of almost all the wires (although covered in the huge strips of heat shrink) makes them even more bulky. If you were to want custom sleeving, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go for extensions because of said capacitors and many wires in each cable are different gauges, wires that lead to different pins on each side of the connector, and some wires split from one pin to two pins on the other side of the connector. Good lucky trying to sleeve that mess.

Other than that, its a great psu!

Are there any others you recommend then?

Sorry to tell you this, but I do not really know about the real specifics on most psu's, just that evga one. Looking up the psu you are looking at on http://www.jonnyguru.com or http://www.anandtech.com/tag/psu are great places to start!
