Hotas Stuff?

I'm looking to make myself a HOTAS setup...

 

I want to use a suncom F15 Talon (converted to USB of course, guide available at http://theseger.com/projects/2014/04/converting-old-joysticks/if you're interested. He also has one for the SFS throttle, which i'd use if possible, but they're rare)

 

But that leaves me needing a throttle... What would you guys recommend for a throttle? USB preferably, or easily convertible from gameport.

 

Budget for the throttle, less than 100 USD, including possible conversion costs (bu0836x, HID board, etc.)

Just get the Saitek X52 HOTAS. Stay away from the X55, too many issues to be positive.

I already considered that, i'm looking for a throttle that's separate from the joystick as i intend on using a specific joystick

Yea, that's pretty much my only option at this point unfortunately.
