The BX100 is Crucial's new mainstream SSD.

It's rated for 535MB/s-read 450 MB/s-write in sequential transfers and 90k-read 70k-write IOPS with random I/O.

It's not a huge deal, only $5 off the usual price on amazon, but it brings it down from 43¢/GB (based on 109.99 MSRP) to 38¢/GB.

There's also a 99¢ shipping cost.

Can we say BX100=MX100? They both have MLC flash, just different controllers

Theres also the 850 EVO with faster speeds and a longer warranty for $99.99. Just got one myself.

But that 500GB for $179 would have been tempting if I had a bit more to spend!

I bought it 2 days ago for 112, now of course it's 100. At least I wasn't one of those who bought it around launch for 170

I believe if you contact most retailers within a week or so of your purchase they can refund the difference of a price drop.

Well I got it on newegg, they only dropped to 105 over there, but I still might call them. 5 bucks is 5 bucks.
