All depends on adoption, but this seems really neat.

They did a benchmark in LibreOffice Calc, which supports HSA and it ripped it to pieces (apparently)

 

But I have yet to see anything else adopt it.

It's only going to be useful for number-crunching and things that need a lot of processing power. On Bulldozer-based architectures, that's just embarrassing.
