If you own and overclock a 5820K or 5930K, what voltage are you running at?

Depends on your temperature. U can have 1.5 voltage and have 60 Celcius max (very rare doe)

But for the most common CPUs 1.3 - 1.35 voltage is when temps say no..

I got mine on 1.225 volts 4.4 currently. 1.3 is needed for 4.6 ghz for me, however I didn't touch other settings then multiplier and core voltage, I am not a pro OC'er so I don't know what other settings to touch to make it stable

I have overclocked it to 4.5GHz at 1.295V in the past.

I got mine on 1.225 volts 4.4 currently. 1.3 is needed for 4.6 ghz for me

Well I seem to have lost the silicon lottery. Only 4.4 at 1.35 volts. Couldn't even get 4.5 with 1.45 volts. =/ I may try 1.5 later tonight, but I think I've hit the proverbial wall.

@brc1980 I think your CPU OCs better than mine. xD I need 1.3 for 4.3.

5 of the 6 cores hover at 77-78 when fully loaded. Core #2 spikes to 84. Which reminds me, I should turn my fans up before I try for 4.5 at 1.5 volts...

What are you cooling with?  With my current setup i see peak tempts of 69-70c.

Phanteks PH-TC14PE. I blame the 1.35 volts.

6-7° difference is fine, not exactly sure why there's that much of a difference anyway. Probably the spread of the thermal paste. I have my 4690k that under load Core#2 is usually 6-7° hotter (55°) while the others stay at around 47-49°

I think you should try to lower the voltage 1.4 is obserd.

I'm not going to run it 24/7 on 1.5. Just an hour or so to see if 4.5 @ 1.5 is even doable.

and i thought i did lol

could get 4.4ghz stable at 1.3v

reason im running 3.375ghz is that my bclk went to 125 when i switched to xmp

Edit: Ofc I mean 4.375ghz, not 3.375ghz lol
