Okay, time for a new wallpaper. I want to make a custom wallpaper that is pretty blank except for a small ribbon slanted in the upper-right corner with my name on it. How would I do this? Thank you!

You could use photoshop.

Use Photoshop is all I can say :P

Not too sure what you mean exactly.

Elaborate a little more and I shall help where I can.

In photoshop create a new project, idealy with about 1.25x the resolution of your desktop.

Create a base layer and fill it w/ what ever colour you want the desktop to be.

Next create a rectangle, and color it to what you want the ribbon the be.

Use the horizontal text tool and type your name. Rasterize the layer and free transform it to fit the banner, the merge the banner layer and thr text layer. Throw it at an angle and drag to top right corner. The save as a png and youre done.

Theres your super basic photoshop tutorial of the day. You can go far more indepth, but thats all to you once you know what to do.

If you could do what is listed above it would be a huge favor. If you do private deals for free. Thanks!

Tank isn't the only one on here w/ some mad photoshop kungfu.

I can whip something up for you, but you'll have to tell us what kind of colors, fonts, that sort of deal. Also what resolution your desktop is, so we can figure out what ratio to make the render at :3

If you're anything like me, I've grown quite fond of my 'grimy' desktop wallpapers of late. The one I'm using now is a 4k render of a theme I've used for the last couple years. Burn ins w/ the hexagons and edges arn't much of a problem for me, since my computer slips into sleep mode if not active for 5 minutes. But for those who arnt cautious about that kind of stuff, burn ins on older monitors can be a pain with that kind of style.

Protip, That is not the actual 4k png. The upload site rescales it to 1280x720.

I was thinking blue, gray, white, and black. If you would do this that would be great! I could put in my name though, since I plan to make it my last. 1920x1080
