Besiege Worth getting?

Just wondering if besiege is worth getting, I've seen lots of posts on reddit about the game, with loads of gifs of contraptions people have made. Just wondering if anyone here on LTT has played it? is it good? 

It's only £5 too so I might pick it up.

I dont think so...its a physics nightmare, makes no sense. It's pretty to look at though so if that is a selling point its pretty cheap.

Well I just came across it on steam and did some more searching on google and came across it on reddit, looked like a cool game. Pewdiepie isn't that bad just because he likes a game doesn't mean it instantly sucks.

I have played it a bit, it is pretty fun if you like the idea of it. 

It is really just messing around until something works. (So kinda like minecraft)

I really liked it. I saw a few gifs of it on imgur and it looked fun. If you like sand box things like Garry's mod then I'd say its worth it. I've definitely got my moneys worth.

Maybe this is a weird suggestion, but I avoid this problem entirely by having no idea what Pewdiepie is playing. I saw Northernlion's Let's Look At video for it.

 

It looks like a cool game, and while I don't care for Early Access in principle the price is low enough that I may take the risk. I'm probably going to wait until a little later in development though, as it looks like there's still a lot of very rough edges at this point.

I'm finding it pretty fun. A friend purchased a copy for me yesterday because he tied it and thought it was fun after seeing a lot of imgur posts about it.

 

One of my creations... I call it "Cuddly Tortuga".

The outer wheels are set with opposite controls, so the "tank" just sort of spins as the little soldiers all wander into the blades. Cannons are placed around the top and set to fire with keys 1-4... to deal with those pesky archers in the distance.

 

IDK, the game is just a good bit of fun, playing around with the different components and finding various ways of building crazy machines to kill and destroy.

 

I am a little confused by the business model though. The FAQ says that anyone who buys the game now is given free updates, and that the price will increase with updates. So I'm guessing they're using a system where the game will be updated until it's considered a "full release", but you still only have to pay for it once.

 

It looks like the "full" game is going to be pretty large as well. There are multiple continents on the planet that serves as the main menu, but only one of them is currently playable. The rest are all tagged as "coming soon". If all of these continents will be added for free for anyone who has purchased the game early, it might be better to just bite the bullet and purchase it now rather than later.
