Many people had issues with the 7990's from Newegg

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

So newegg is selling the 7990 for $350, i have one already. would it be a bad decision to buy another one? my case and components would be able to handle it just fine. 

For the price, I would say go for it.

Just make sure you have a big enough PSU to handle the two.

Just looking at the review, you get about double the performance.

Another benefit is you will never need to turn on a heater, the GPUs will heat your house up for you.

yes, I would avoid it. My 7990 had the worst coil whine ever, and it under performed. Just like the rest of the newegg customers, I think someone used it for mining.

Don't do it. The rise in performance is very low when going to three cards and very low when stepping up to four. I would rather upgrade to 2 290s or something similar.
