I say grab a 970. The $200 difference is a lot. 980 is 60% more expensive than the 970 for 15% more performance.

But you get a full 4GB of VRAM...=/ Either way, I would buy a 970.

If you are gaming at 1080p then get the EVGA GTX 970 FTW http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OSS0AG4. The EVGA FTW model is the only EVGA model that I would consider for the GTX 970. If you are gaming at resolutions higher then get the 980.

Cooler Master HAF XB EVO, ASUS Maximus VII Hero, i7-4790K @ 4.5GHz, Corsair H100i, EVGA GTX 980Ti SC, Corsair Vengeance Pro 2X8GB 1866Mhz CL9, 2X Crucial M500 960GB, EVGA SuperNOVA 1050 GS, ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q w/ nVidia 3D Vision 2

970 have 4GB of VRAM

You must've missed out on the whole 970 VRAM controversy. TL;DR the 4GB functions more like 3.5GB + 0.5GB on separate 224-bit and 32-bit buses respectively.

Still 4GB

Not quite. Most computers don't see it as 4GB either.

To all of you that say 970 doesnt have 4GB of VRAM are WRONG. The last runs slower BUT ITS STILL 4GB. 3,5+5=4.

Please stop with this.

Yes it does have 4gb but the last .5 is so slow its basically useless. still 4gb but in practical use it preforms like 3.5gb
