>ROG SupremeFX Audio 8-Channel High Definition Audio

This is actually a Realtek ALC1150 chip, which is actually a very good onboard solution with a 1.1 VRMS maximum output and 2 Ohm output impedance.  It doesn't get terribly loud, but for low impedance headsets it's more than sufficient.  If you want a pair of high impedance studio monitors later, you'll probably want a usb AMP/DAC of some sort, but for what you probably want to use it for (games), it's fine.

Why rebrand the Realtek chip?  Have you seen the posts on this board lately?

My question was however will I see a large difference going from D1 to SupremeFX?

Nope, unless you have high impedance headphones
