It is one of the types of USB conectors, specifically the type B which Linus describes in the beginning of this techquickie video.

It is basically an upstream USB conector designed for devices that are being controlled and is still the ubiquitous conector for devices such as printers, meaning they are cheap and readily available.

LC71 and LC75 are the Black standard and Black High Yield cartridges your printer probably uses. Has nothing to do with the USB cable.
