Speakers Making Whining Noise

My speakers make coil whine like noises when I play games... they are plugged into a USB DAC that is under my monitor. The whine stops when the speakers turn off so I know its not directly coming from the GPU. Where is this sound coming from and how can I get rid of it.

Good grief, even speakers are whining now? "Oh, this song got too much bass", "oh, you're using cheap amp to drive me", "oh, your files are below 320kbps".....

Which DAC? Does it have a separate power input?

It is the NuForce UDAC 2 and it draws power from USB.... Speakers are active.
