Keyboard and Mouse Decision

Go to solution Solved by MJOLNITR VIPER,

Ducky and the raw.

Duckies have amazing build quality and if you want you can spend a little extra on a shine 2, or 3 if you wait, and get the backlight in lots of different colours options.

Steelseries mice are great, sadly I have a hard time finding one that fits me and my palm grip.  So I would have to recommend the RAW.

I am currently looking to upgrade my keyboard and mouse and have

been able to slim down my options to things of my liking.

Keyboards(only two):

Corsair K65 http://www.corsair.com/us/gaming-peripherals/gaming-keyboards/vengeance-k65-compact-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html

Ducky DK9008G2 http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=464

EDIT ------ Vortex Poker II http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=460

Mouse:

Corsair M65 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826816009

Steelseries Sensie RAW http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826249092

Gigabyte M7 THOR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826146031

Things to know: I have rather small hands and I'm not positive but believe

I claw grip it. My desk in large and I have the X-Trac XXL mouse(desktop)

pad. Also if I can get $10 off the RAW and the M65. I would enjoy the assistance!

Out of those I would say the ducky. Some may like the feel of the steel like corsair keyboards I just don't like it. Mouse wise, I would almost just suggest perhaps a logitech mouse. Something like this perhaps

Also, the ducky keyboard comes with cherry mx reds was that what you wanted?

G500 is a great mouse one of my friends has been using one of those for years and its still going strong.

IF you haven't tried all the switches yet you should because you dont want to get a keyboard with switches that you hate.

I just really love logitech build quality with their mice they are top notch and they aren't very expensive.

And I agree. I would test out switches to make sure they are what you want if you haven't already. I have a logitech G710+. It grabbed my attention after linus had looked at it and I really like it because it has the G15 look and I really liked how browns have been a balance typing and a gamers switch. I had my mind made up but even when I went to my local frys I tried out the corsair keyboard didn't like the construction of it. And I tried I believe it was the razer keyboard which was using blues so I got a taste of blues and reds and didn't really care for either. I felt blues were to clicky and I didn't anything push back at me with reds.

Yeah, I have like babyish hands, please don't poke fun, and the Logitech mice are a tad too long for me,

at least 100's. My brother has one and it seems to be large for me, as in like WAY too large. Again,

don't poke fun please :)

I have tried Blues, Browns, Clears, and Blacks. I enjoyed the linear blacks but hated its weight. However

the browns seemed almost weightless. Reds = Browns weight + Blacks linear.

I must also add that I'm not a fan of LED's on a keyboard. Don't get me wrong its nice and all, but I don't

need to look at the keys and I find the light in my peripherals to be of an annoyance.

Pft, having smaller hands isn't a crime. I don't see a reason to poke fun. What about the Razer DeathAdder?

Also, I gotcha with the logitech keyboard and other LED keyboards they can turn off the LED's and some even have individual LED control. I think the ducky is a excellent choice the one keyboard I would like to try from them perhaps someday is this one not the switch you are choosing but the style :) looks super sexy piano like.

While I do like the Death Adder and its looks, I have tried both optical and laser mice and the difference for me

is pretty noticeable. I play at all DPI ranges and the readiness of laser mice is more for my taste.

Also that keyboard, while sexy as hell, doesn't offer the main reason I REALLY want the ducky. The dye-subed caps.

Longevity is key. . . board.
