Playing games Windowed/Borderless causes memory artifacts?

Has anyone experienced this issue, it RARELY happens to me but it just did now after a couple of months ago when the same issue happened too. It doesn't matter what game I play but for some reason when I play windowed/borderless and alt+tab to check other things then go back to the game, there will be strange memory artifacts. I thought it was my old AMD 6000 series so I bought a 270X and the same issue happens too. I'm using the latest drivers btw, never experienced BSODs or any crashes. The only way I found a fix for it was to either exit the game completely and start it up back or restart my computer. No overclocks.

Is it something in the VRAM that when alt+tabbing causes VRAM reading errors?

I didn't get a screenshot of it but it's somewhat similar to this: http://hwzone.co.il/reviews-files/pc_problems_guide/artifacts.jpg

do you have 2 monitors? I only noticed this after I got a second. I downloaded the program called actual multiple monitors and it solved my issues.
