Casual internet computer

I don't want to go through to process of returning the mobo and my aunt wants the computer asap.

Okay, well swap the HDD for an SSD (120GB to 512GB) also 8GB will allow for more tabs (8GB is close to becoming the standard) Windows isn't exactly ideal for a pure internet browsing, but if you already have it I guess use it, if in your budget a Haswell i3 will be a better price/performance which allows the computer to basically be fairly speedy for a longer period of time.

Another option (again involving the return of the mobo) an Intel NUC or a ChromeBox from either Asus, HP or a Chromebase from LG.

dont build, at that price point you will be better off buying something at a store pre-built with a nice warranty. OS included.

Yeah, I mean the OS is gonna chomp off 100 off your budget of 300. Then you still need a CPU, MOBO, RAM, HDD, and PSU.

Why on earth would you insist on Windows for a web browsing machine? Go ubuntu or something.

You can do this for under $200. Way less than you could buy one for.

@freakyfreak7 I'm guessing it's mATX, though if you're building a new computer you might as well replace the case unless the case is sentimental.

In order to save money and for the same purpose you can install one of the four options (or any other distro but these will work fine) 1. Ubuntu - 2. Elementary - 3. Fedora - 4. ChromeOS

I know that you have a case already and that it's probably an mATX case but for an extension of <$70 you can have a smaller case.

CPU: AMD A8-7600 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($87.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard  ($54.99 @ Micro Center)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($69.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $361.94
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Also I'm guessing you wanted less than (<), not greater than(>).

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/That is the build that I have figured out so far.

Permalink please. Also if you can return the MSI Z97 mobo because an A8 is a better bang for the buck but if you can't return the Z97 mobo either any i3 or Pentium on Haswell.
