Hi,

i just upgraded my mobo and cpu to a i5 4690k and z97-a asus mobo.

I have updated all drivers and the onboard graphics card is disabled.

However, i have terrible performance graphics wise, in game i get like 10 fps in bf4 and 40 in csgo...

The card was in working condition earlier in the morning.

I am at a loss here, can someone with more knowledge please help me?

EDIT:im on windows 7 and run a fresh install, its a amd radeon r9 270x

That must be a nice upgrade, have you installed the intel HD graphics driver? I'm guessing that you have (Right click on the desktop it should come up with the control panel option, if not download it from a quick google search) If you already have it then reinstall it

im not sure what you mean? I tried to install the VGA drivers from http://www.asus.com/support/Download/1/45/6/1/ic9YbXVua78KEzSH/30/but it doenst let me install them because i dont meed the requirements.

Just ran a furmark benchmark test and got a 4000 score on the 720p preset, which is normal for my graphics card.

Really no clue whats going on here.

did you plug your monitor to the mobo by mistake?

check if the cable is coming from the 270X GPU

also update your drivers esp the GPU drivers from AMD website

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Check that your mobo detecting the GPU if not swap to another PCI E slot and also update your mobo and GPU driver. You say that VGA drivers are not installing, If you can't do it online, For now install it from driver CD which you got with your mobo.

I installed some of the non-essential windows updates, and after restarting three times i've yet to see this problem reoccur, so I think its fixed.

Thanks for the help but I think it was maybe an issue with the newest driver on a not yet fully updated windows.
