Hello everyone - so im planning to upgrade my cooling since i´ve ordered a r9 290x

i got a 300r case , and atm i got one 140 intake in the front and a 120 outtake at the back.

So what i was thinking about doing was going with 140 intake on the side panel and a 140 outtake at the top but since i dont have a lot of experience with cooling , i would like to ask here , if you guys think that is fine , or if i should go with something else like

120 rear outtake 2*140 front intake and a single or 2 120 or 140 outakes in the top?

i dont really know what would be best .

Besides that im also looking to get a CPU cooler , where i cant deside between the Dark rock 3 and the dark rock pro 3( i´ve also been looking a bit at the Noctua D15 , but it´s just so ugly , and since im gonna move to a windowed case at some point , i will mind it at some point)

At last i would like to ask what is your opinion on who makes the best fans , besides Noctua  :)

Well Noctua makes those black/gray fans too you know :) but Coolermaster, Corsair ... probably others too.

Edit: BitFenix has some good ones too.

NF-S12B redux: https://www.komplett.dk/noctua-nf-s12b-redux-1200-pwm-120mm/816924

1 for upper front intake; 2 for side intake; 2 for rear and top exhaust

NF-P14s for lower front intake: https://www.komplett.dk/noctua-nf-p14s-redux-1200-pwm-140mm/816916

Definitely go with a cheaper cooler if it would mean you could get a ssd.

I'd suggest the similarly performing but quieter Pure Rock: http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/datorkomponenter/209949-be_quiet_pure_rock_cpu_kylare

on last thing tho

i was going to conrol all of the fans with a Lamptron FC5 V2 but i realised it got 3 pin outputs , and the fans are PWM .

first - will i be able to connect them anyway .

second - should i consider another controller? or just get 3 pin fans?

3pin and 4pin are backwards compatible as long as the 3pin connector doesn't have a physical restriction like the plastic housing being too small/big.

Hei - so i finally got my fans today - and i realized i cant get both a 120 and a 140 in the front only 2 120 or 2 140 - so should i just get another 140 and put 2 140 in the front -

and by "2 for rear and top exhaust" did you then mean 1 rear exhaust and 1 top exhaust or 1 rear and 2 top ?

thx again :)

Oh, I didn't notice the 120mm mounts weren't centered--my bad. Swap the 140mm with the top exhaust S12B.

I meant 1 exhaust for the top and the another for the rear.
