Should I upgrade my GPU

Go to solution Solved by wyattzx,

Hold off until AMD drops their new 3XX cards. Rumors are pinning the launch to be mid-March. You might be able to get a card that performs like the 970, for the cost of a 960. Might.

hold off the buying of the GTX960

your 660 is still better

I have a 660 and i have the money for 960 should I buy it now or hold off and can i still have my 660 in my pc and have the 960?

Hold off for now and see what AMD's 300 release will do to pricing. Or maybe the 300 equivalent of the 960 would have more bang for your buck.

You can't use the 660 and the 960 at the same time. What games do you play? If your GPU can't keep up with your games then you should upgrade. :) Do note that there are also decent GPUs from the red team at that price point.

Yes you can use both gpus at the same time. If you feel the need to upgrade because your system can't handle the games you want to play, then upgrade. If not I would continue saving up for something even better than the 960 like a 970.

@Drazlak whats your budget and can you provide a link to where you'll be buying from?

The 960 will refuse to SLI with a 660.

Yea technically both cards are running, but without SLI it makes a whole world of difference.

I didn't say anything about sli. You can leave the old card in and run displays off it or use it as a dedicated physx card.
