One is locked the other inst.

Depends on the motherboard and the cooler.

If you have a decent mobo and cooler its worth it.

This. If building new system and you can can stretch for Z97 and i5 4690k then grab it, else 4460 is just fine.

if you have a H97 motherboard then you can't overclock the K skew chip, so just get 4440

careful

many non Z boards will OC

you will not have the same OC experience as a Z board but none the less many can OC with latest bios.

tbh intel should stop being an extremely profitable company and unlock all the chips and chips with components of a high enough standard to oc, even if they are limited.

Its not a good idea to pick on a part by part basis...

£30 less on the CPU may go towards something else that can bring greater benefit.

Tell us your budget and requirements and we suggest a build for you.

Well I have a total budget of around £800(UK) no higher... But I do need monitor, keyboard and mouse...

Might want to avoid buying from Aria PC. If you check their prices its actually higher than what pcpartpicker listed.

They are probably bribing pcpartpicker so people get tricked into buying from them.

Its what partpicker lists :/

Most of the time.
