Apparently nvidia has confirmed they are in fact working on it. Source

Was on the last WAN Show, Its interesting, If nVidia can do this then they should 100% as at the moment having to buy an expensive monitor to take advantage of GSync is a big ask with 4K Displays coming down in price.

I'm very excited for this and i think it could be a good move. As they say it's not exactly as good as a full on g-sync panel...but hey if it's a balance in between then i am fine with that
