"Hello. For at least 2 weeks now I've had this very strange problem with my computer. Whenever I shut it down, the next time I try to boot it, it won't start nor show anything. No logos, no checks, nothing. Just blank. My LEDs (including fans) "blink" rapidly like they are about to go off and if I go close to the PSU, I can hear a "sparking" or electric burning sound. Although, I found a workaround to successfully boot my system, it's still very inconvenient and unhealthy. Basically, the workaround is that I remove the battery of the motherboard and then put it back in. Of course, that resets the BIOS every time but this was the only workaround I was able to find to be able to use my computer. Nowadays, I don't even turn my PC off. I just let it go to sleep mode after prolonged idleness, which lets the system cool off without actually shutting down and throwing the power issue at me. I already asked this in my new build's thread and someone said this is my motherboard's fault, but I'm going to ask here as well just to be sure. Is my motherboard problematic or do I need a new PSU?"

Right, that's literally a copy-paste. The original thread is here. Basically, I don't want to believe that my motherboard is faulty, and I just wish that my PSU is dying (what a terrible thing to wish huh...). Last time I asked which one could be at fault, my motherboard or my PSU. Now, I want to hear your thoughts on this if it's possible to find a solution to this problem without sending back any parts for repairs, because everything is just way too old and the warranties are long gone. Let us (me) pray.

If resetting the BIOS fixes the issue temporarily, your motherboard is at fault.

Oh blast. This is the last thing I wanted to hear. I have a spare PSU. I'm going to try that on this motherboard and see if the problem persists. Thanks for your help guys.
