hi guys, I am busy building my first gaming pc with a budget of around 1000 USD

I live in South Africa so the things are a bit more expensive here so im looking to spend about 15000 ZAR

here is the current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Aeroh_ZA/saved/FF8ypg

I was wondering if you guys could tell me if this build is a good one.I would appreciate it if you guys could give me alternatives where you see fit

any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Those 50 bucks spent on a 970 to get extra 3 fps at stock can be spent on a decent cooler.

I wouldnt recommend a 970 to anyone since the 290x is cheaper and does the job.

Looks good but this PSU would be better for the same price: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

And its even strong enough to power SLI if you decide to upgrade in the future

the problem with that gpu it that in RSA it is around 800 USD(http://www.wootware.co.za/msi-r9-290x-lightning-r9-series-pci-express-x16-3-0-512-bits-desktop-graphics-card.html) where as the gtx 970 is 600 USD(http://www.wootware.co.za/gigabyte-gv-n970g1-gaming-4gd-gtx-970-4gb-gddr5-256bit-pcie-3-0-desktop-graphics-card.html)
