And dont mind the prices on that page its diffrent currency. 10kr = 1€

Questions

Im gonna game on a 1080p 144hz monitor so the gtx 970 should be ok right? (Games:

Is the i7 4970k good for editing?

How much RAM do i need for editing and gaming? I have heard 8-16GB is good.

How big should the SSD be? Im gonna have my favorite games and most used programs on it not much more BUT i have heard you should have half of the SSD empty so the perfomance reduction is slower. Is true? And if not what SSD can you recomend?

Answers to questions:

The 970 will not push 144 at all in more demanding games

Yes it is

16GB is a good starting point, if you need more then get more (Get a 2x8GB kit first)

The half space thing is ridiculous. As for space needed depends on how much you want on it though 250/256GB is usually a good baseline

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Normally for gaming and editing build I recommend the Xeon E3 1231 v3, but since youre trying to hit 144hz, you really want an unlocked CPU because thats the only way to hit the kinds of performance you need, so go with the i7-4790k.

Dual R9 290, or R9 290x depending on local costs and PSU costs, will likely be your most cost efficient option for hitting 144hz in demanding games. A single GTX 970 wont cut it.

That being said, if youre going for 144hz in a game like CS:GO, you can do that with an R7 260x so no worries. It's all about what youre doing with it.

If you look at benchmarks, the 970 will not hit 144 FPS on 1080p ultra, and i'm talking about max FPS not average... You will need dual GPU for that.

I would go with a nice 60Hz monitor, and not waste a lot of money on frames that my brain won't be able to process.

But if you're blessed with high refresh rate eyes and money is no issue, go for it.

RAM is wrong. You don't get 2400mhz memory. You get 1600 mhz, and save A LOT of money. Only get memory higher than that if it's only a tiny bit more expensive. And I doubt it is.

As mentioned, 256gb ssd will be enough. No need for 500gb, that's just stupid, and a waste of budget.

Aside for that, the build seems solid. Only changes I'd make would be the PSU, if you can find EVGA's or Seasonic's for cheaper. Other than that, you can spend the money that you saved above with a mouse/keyboard. Maybe even with a game.
