help with canadian keyboard

Hi all, Just bought a UX303LN from canada it has windows 8.1 and on the setup screen it asks for me to put in my email address, i cant because shift+2 doesnt make the @ sign, i know i can change this once i have the computer set up but i cant set it up because of this

 

Does anyone know how to make the @ sign??

Alt+2 or ctrl+alt+2 usually work

Nope   alt+2 & alt+ctrl+2  both do nothing, as in nothing even comes up in the text box. Thanks anyway

Hit create new account, and then create local account.

Damn it i had this problem too but I can't remember how I got past it.

can you skip the account log in and do it after the setup in 8.1?
