I wasn't a big fan of watching the Super Bowl, so i decided to go an play some Destiny on my PS4, and to my surprise the PSN was down... Again.  :(

(Sorry Linus)  :)

I am furious, especially since they began to start charging a subscription fee since the launch of the PS4. I would much rather have a better network service as opposed to spending it on giving away big name titles.

What have been your thoughts on the quality of the PSN service recently?

My thoughts?

I could care less, as I'm not a fan of the PlayStation 4 or it's exclusives. I should state though that I'm a member of Camp Xbox One.

Not trying to stir shit, just giving my thoughts.

I should state that no service is DDoS proof (since thats been the flavour of attack the consoles have been getting) BUT I will say that Sony knows a hell of a lot less about maintaining servers than other companies, so I'm not surprised that they have so many problems getting back on their feet.

The extra exclamation points really seal the deal there, bud.

I never said it was all good, did I? I just said I wasn't a fan of the PS4 and it's exclusive titles and that I do in fact own an Xbox One.

you can thank lizardsquad for all of the outages...except 1

comparatively speaking though, the xb1 is crap. I've got one and the UI is horrendously awful. Everything is done through apps so it takes forever to open and snap things. Only thing they got right was digital downloads.

Makes it worse I bought the xb1 JUST for halo, and MCC is worse than BF4 @ launch

I get that its not DDoS proof, but can they just say whats going on instead of leaving their users in the dark? Sony has been attacked multiple times before, but it seems that each time they get attacked they just play it off as "maintenance".

I get that the attacks towards their servers have been larger compared to previous ones and they've been able to recover faster than before. But they should be prepared for these contingencies, especially since PSN is now a paid service. I would expect them to be able to maintain their servers to a better degree by now.
