Drive Encryption

Does anyone know of any good(free) full drive encryption software - obviously there is the built in one on windows but as I don't have 8.1 PRO I cannot access this feature.

I would like ease of use as I don't want to spend long doing this and obviously the more secure the better.

 

Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Bitlocker, when you use it don't sleep your PC if you want it to be secured, the previous tip is what I gathered by quick google search.
